ITC FeedbackWe have used our ITCs as a tool for supporting teacher's use of technology in our school. Their role has primarily been around supporting teacher's skill in using technology. Recently, we are seeking to reexamine their purpose in response to the needs of our teachers. Specifically, we seek to help them evolve into being coaches.

Heat ObservationsOur school conducts classroom instruction walk-throughs. These walk-throughs are conducted by administrators and teachers. The observation data is based on the LOTi HEAT Framework and focuses on student learning not on teacher's teaching.
|
Student InterviewsWho better than our students to provide us with feedback about their own learning needs. We have implemented a Student Voices project consisting of gallery walks, informal breakfast meetings, and lunch discussions. Topics have included the value of blended learning, student stress, and community building.

Inservice Feedback
Based on the HEAT Data our Department Chairs have identified a department level goal. Each individual teacher is required to establish an individual professional learning plan that aligns with district, building and department goals. Department Chairs and Instructional Technology Coaches are responsible for leading sessions on each inservice to support the needs of individual in their departments.
